    About This Art

Hang it against white kitchen tiles and watch the tiles stop looking clinical. Glossy metro tile wants something warm and hand-made beside it, and the thick chocolate brown does exactly that, like icing on a clean plate. Sage green around the cake picks up anything leafy on the windowsill. The cobalt plate gives you permission for blue and white crockery on the shelf below. Keep it off the cooker wall, grease and paint do not mix, and put it on the end wall where you eat breakfast instead. Medium works. At 50cm square the fork reads as a fork and the layers look edible from the table. Pine or painted chairs under it, nothing fussy on the table. Guests will ask who baked it. On canvas the brushwork runs to the edge, so it needs no frame at all.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the dark brown feel heavy in a small white kitchen?

Less than you would think. The sage green takes up about as much of the picture as the chocolate, so the brown has somewhere to rest. In a small white kitchen the warmth is the point, one dark warm thing stops a run of white units looking like a showroom. Keep it at medium size and hang it on the wall you face from the table rather than squeezed between cupboards.

What size works above a kitchen counter or sideboard?

Medium, around 50cm square, is the sweet spot. At that size the slice is close to life-size, the layers read clearly from across the room and the fork still looks like a fork. Go smaller and the brushwork turns into a postcard. Go large and a single slice of cake becomes the only thing anyone sees at dinner. Leave a hand's width of wall above the counter or sideboard.

Does it only work in kitchens?

Kitchens and dining rooms are the obvious homes, but a breakfast nook, a pantry wall or a hallway leading to the kitchen all suit it. The square format and sage ground also sit well in a cafe-style corner of a living room. It feels out of place in bedrooms and bathrooms, where food on a plate reads oddly. Think of it as belonging wherever people sit down to eat.
